Farmville Cheats: Do They Exist?

With over 10 million registered player accounts in the first month of release, the publishers Zynga sure have made a mega-popular game. Due to Farmville being distributed and played on Facebook, it has grown and stayed very popular. It is a MMORPG game, so everyone from devoted fanatics, to casual players enjoy Farmville. Unlike Mafia Wars, where players can benefit from the exploitation of dormant accounts, Farmville offers no such exploits. The Farmville cheats that are used and distributed are very often not real cheats, but clever tactics, based on understanding the strategies behind the game and exploiting glitches.

When most gamers think of cheats and hacks, they picture the downright dirty tricks used in First Person Shooters, such as Counter Strike: Source. I am pretty sure that anyone who has played CS:S, has encountered  at least hacker or 'script kiddie', making use of aimbots or wall hacks. Basically, there are two kinds of people looking for Farmville cheats on the internet: new players wanting to just get ahead quickly, and degenerate types who aren't interested in gaming at all, but want to look like they know what they are doing.

Genuine cheaters will end up downloading scripts and hacks, most of which will get their account banned by Zynga – they don't want people to cheat on their games, because it spoils the game for everyone else. One popular method of getting an unfair advantage in Farmville, is to use bots that do the planting and harvesting for you, based on the best possible profit to expense ratios for your level. While these bots are not well liked by Zynga, they aren't as bad as using an 'infinite coin' script. Some MMORPG's, such as Eve Online, allow the use of 3rd party applications and schedulers to help with carrying out tasks while the player is offline, or logged out. Farmville actually rewards players for doing the work themselves when it comes to harvesting and planting. It is common for coins to fall out of the sky while your character is working in the fields.

One of the legal exploits you can use instead of Farmville cheats, is to obtain a nice large piece of land for planting crops. Now, crop planting usually takes quite some time, especially if you don't have a tractor. To save yourself a lot of time, simply surround your game avatar with fences. Turn two of them and click on the fences once they are positioned. This effectively blocks your game character into the fenced region. Because you are trapped, the game allows you to plant your crops, regardless of your immobility. Not only do you save yourself the hassle of planting the crops yourself, they also get planted much quicker than when you do it manually.
